The Secular Assault

The Washington Times has started a three-part series titled "Religion Under a Secular Assault," focused primarily on the efforts of the American Civil Liberties Union, Americans United for Separation of Church and State, People for the American Way, and the Freedom from Religion Foundation.

Portrayal of secular nontheistic ideas in the media has always been minimal to very negative. We need to think about an one-hour radio talk show, entitled something like "The Voice of Reason" or "The Reasonable Hour" perhaps to be broadcast on Sundays after the regular church services are over. It may be possible to do this on the "Progressive Radio" (1260 AM in DC area); they keep re-playing old shows at that time anyway! I wonder how that could be financed! I know that we will not have a shortage of intelligent guests to invite to do this! - Mohsin Siddique, Chevy Chase, Maryland
