February continued the growth of blog activity on Secular Perspectives. Here are some statistics available to editors of the site.
First a view of this past week shows the jagged path through the week peaking on. The top five blog articles visited are shown below with my January blog of John Dewey getting about as many hits as Edd Doerr’s January blog on Rick Santorum and Opus Dei. Three more recent blogs ranging from the discussions at Rob Boston’s talk to hypocrisy and growth topics round out the week.

Overall February had a bumpy reading pattern with an unprecedented 600+ readers visiting the site to read Edd Doerr’s blog on Rick Santorum and Opus Dei. This readership boosted the site’s numbers to over 7,000 visits this short month. Just four months
ago we had half that number each month. Edd’s blog lead the overall month total with 920 views, almost 3 times that of any other topic. It is interesting to note that some blogs (e.g. on the Vatican and memes) from 2011 still get significant viewing.
