Sam Harris has a book called Lying. For the moment it can be downloaded for free on Kindle (or the PC Kindle program). He also has a free pdf version which can be accessed from the web. It had been sold for $1.99.
I found this to be a rather superficial and emotional treatment of what could be a vastly complex and philosophically technical subject. However, there are many examples of the negative outcomes for lying, some of which might make people think about what they do.
